  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

A delicious combination of tender turkey and sweet tangy cranberry sauce sandwiched between toasted bread, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of whole grain or sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces of leftover turkey or deli turkey
  • 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce or spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mayo or mustard (optional)
  • Sliced avocados (optional)
  • Pickles or red onions (optional)
  • Sweet potato fries or potato chips (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Start by toasting your bread slices until golden brown.
  2. If using leftover turkey, slice it; if raw, grill or pan-sear until cooked through.
  3. Once your bread is toasted, spread a layer of cranberry sauce on one slice.
  4. Layer the turkey on top of the cranberry sauce, followed by cheese, lettuce, and any additional toppings.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread and optionally grill for 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Slice your sandwich in half, plate it, and serve with your choice of sides.

Notes

Consider adding jalapeños for a spicy kick or use roasted vegetables for a vegetarian option.
