Description
A festive twist on the classic margarita, blending lime with warming spices for a delightful holiday drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- ½ oz agave syrup (or simple syrup)
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedges and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
- Start by preparing your ingredients. Squeeze the limes to get that fresh juice, measure out your other liquids, and have your spices at the ready.
- Grab a cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice.
- Pour in the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and agave syrup into the shaker, adding the spices.
- Securely place the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 to 20 seconds.
- Prepare your serving glasses. If desired, rim them with salt or sugar mixed with a bit of cinnamon.
- Finally, strain the mixture into the glasses and garnish with a lime wedge and a cinnamon stick.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic option, replace tequila with a non-alcoholic spirit or sparkling grape juice. Adjust sweetness to taste.
