Description

A quick and creamy chicken dish simmered in ranch dressing, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning your chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Once hot, carefully place the chicken breasts in the skillet.
  3. Sear them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  4. After browning, reduce the heat to low. Pour in the ranch dressing and chicken broth, making sure to coat the chicken well.
  5. Add the softened cream cheese to the skillet. Stir gently until the cream cheese melts and combines with the ranch dressing and broth.
  6. Sprinkle dried parsley into the sauce, stirring to combine. Let the chicken simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly, it’s ready to be served.

Notes

Consider swapping ingredients for variations, such as using Greek yogurt or adding vegetables.
