Description
A quick and colorful side dish of tender carrots coated in a sweet and buttery glaze that elevates any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Carrots, sliced
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 to 3 tablespoons Honey
- A pinch of Salt
- Black pepper (optional)
- A splash of Water
- 1 small clove Garlic, minced (optional)
- Lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the carrots. Peel if needed, then slice into coins or diagonal slices about the same thickness.
- Add carrots to a skillet with a splash of water and a pinch of salt. Cover and cook over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes until just tender.
- Remove the lid and let excess water cook off for 1-2 minutes.
- Add butter and honey. Stir until butter melts, letting the glaze bubble gently.
- Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, stirring often, until carrots are glossy and coated.
- Taste and adjust with more salt, pepper, or lemon as desired.
Notes
Slice carrots evenly for even cooking and keep water to a minimum to avoid a watery glaze.
