Description
Delicious grilled shrimp skewers marinated for maximum flavor, perfect for barbecues and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Begin by marinating the shrimp. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are mixed together.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for about 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp to allow even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, use vegetables instead of shrimp or serve over salad for a low-carb meal.
