Description

A creamy and savory slow-cooked chicken dish that promises to impress with its rich flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup crispy bacon, cooked and crumbled (or alternative)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups baby spinach (optional but recommended)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese and ranch dressing mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over this creamy layer.
  5. Add the chopped green onions and baby spinach to the top.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks, mixing everything together.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese or substitute chicken with chickpeas for a vegetarian version.
