Description

Indulge in the taste of summer with these Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Rolls, packed with flavor and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large lobster tails (about 1 pound total)
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 soft, buttery rolls (like New England style)
  • Leafy lettuce or cabbage for serving

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your lobster tails. Using a sharp pair of kitchen scissors, cut along the top of the shell, from the base to the tip.
  2. Gently pull the meat out of the shell and set it aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt about 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once foamy, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, around 1 minute.
  4. Add the lobster meat to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, tossing it gently to coat it with the garlic butter.
  5. Pour in the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the lobster is just opaque and tender; this should only take a few minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped parsley. Mix until all ingredients are combined and heated through, about 2 minutes more.
  7. While your lobster mixture cools slightly, melt the remaining butter in a separate pan. Gently toast your rolls in the melted butter until golden brown.
  8. To assemble, place a layer of leafy lettuce or cabbage at the bottom of each toasted roll, followed by a generous scoop of the creamy lobster mixture.
  9. Serve immediately while the rolls and lobster are warm.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. For a lighter version, consider Greek yogurt instead of mayo.
