Description

A light and airy classic British dessert made with fresh blackberries and whipped cream, perfect for summer gatherings.

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries (washed and dried)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a medium bowl and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Beat the heavy whipping cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Add the vanilla extract to the whipped cream and gently fold in the blackberry mixture.
  4. Spoon the mixture into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or additional blackberries before serving.

Notes

To lighten up, use Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream or substitute with a sugar alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
