Description

Delicious and healthy baked turkey meatballs, a lighter alternative to traditional meatballs, perfect for any dinner routine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (lean is best)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat for added fiber)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine in a large mixing bowl the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form meatballs about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Optionally, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make meatball mixture ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to a day before baking. Serve over spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
